Educational mission

Our goal: the best training for our students

Our educational mission is to ensure the best training for our students as competent professionals — with an ongoing attitude for learning– as people with the capacity for self-improvement– with strength, creativity, and resilience when faced with challenges– and as cooperative citizens committed to the world in which they live.

To achieve these goals our educational model is based on:

Collaboration with families
Our joint task with the families is based on fluid communication and a continual collaboration that promotes educational coherence and consistency. +This is reflected in our school model for learning, which aims to advance as an educational and learning model that takes advantage of all situations and environments. For this, we work with families to establish all of the tools and opportunities that we consider necessary to facilitate communication and joint work between family and school.

The ethical and human meaning of life
Our school has never been religious, but has the essence of the values of humanism as an educational foundation, which sets the tone for how the life of the school, in which any personal belief is respected, develops. We want to educate good people who love and respect life and the people who surround them.

The comprehensive development and personal satisfaction of the students
A good school is one which has the ability to offer everyone what they need at any moment. +We must ensure the meaningful learning of each student, acquired with effort and enthusiasm. We see our educational role as accompanying them in an ongoing process of improvement, where each student develops their abilities to the maximum, learns to manage them properly, and is thereby prepared for their adult life in society.

Affection and respect within the educational community
An essential feature of our School is the affectionate atmosphere in the relations between all those who make up our educational community. +We believe in human relations based in respect and trust, in tolerance, and in authority earned with prestige.
Personal communication and affection in human relations must be essential elements in the education of our students, with whom we need to put into practice a deep sense of friendship as a foundation of their personal development.

Solidarity and commitment with different social realities
It is essential to educate with a sense of cooperation, social commitment, and solidarity so that, as the Declaration of Childrens´ Rights points out, “they employ their energies and abilities in the service of others”. +Because of this, our school is part of the UNESCO Associated Schools Plan, and our students participate in collaborative and volunteer projects with senior citizen centers and civic centers in our area, as well as having a sister-school arrangement with the Sam-Sam School in Dakar Senegal.
Thus, the school must become a place of real participation and the learning of coexistence, by stimulating participation, teamwork, correct and responsible decision-making, and helping in the acquisition of the values of solidarity in our own surroundings.

The exercise of freedom and critical thinking
The school must help, through each and every one of its activities, to create a personal criteria, with critical thinking, self-control, and responsibility, which allows each person to responsibly exercise freedom in their own life.
