Competence-based education

The maturity of boys and girls between 16 and 18 years of age means that, during this period, we prioritize competences linked to autonomous learning, planning, and organization that they will need in the future, for both their studies and for their professional and personal lives. It is a question, then, of consolidating personal and interpersonal abilities that complement our comprehensive educational proposal.

We will, therefore, prioritize abilities for lifelong learning:

  • SELF-SUFFICIENCY
    With proposals for autonomous work beyond the classroom to consolidate, broaden, and strengthen the learning.
  • PLANNING, MANAGEMENT, AND ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY
    Design and implementation of individual and group work plans for the medium and long term.
  • SPIRIT OF RESEARCH AND INNOVATION
    Work with specific materials applying the scientific method to nurture curiosity, creativity, a critical spirit, and rigor.
  • COMMUNICATIVE ABILITIES
    Development of broad-based and applied communicative abilities through the use of different languages.
  • DIGITAL COMPETENCE
    Use of digital materials as users and as content creators-
  • RESEARCH AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
    Use of different materials for searching for information beyond textbooks, as well as the synthesis of information and elaboration of one´s own language and thoughts.
  • SELF-MONITORED LEARNING
    Activities that promote analysis and reflection on the learning process that will allow them to incorporate improvements.

To educate whole individuals

  • PERSONAL AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
    Using the personal plan, we consolidate strategies for self-knowledge and personal empowerment, and encourage the values and empathy and assertiveness in interpersonal relations and in collaborative work situations.
  • GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE AND INTERACTION WITH THE SURROUNDINGS
    We work in different cultural contexts, in international projects, and in solidarity projects to encourage an awareness of other realities and the values of tolerance and solidarity.

INNOBAT singularities

  • We work, according to the Anglo-Saxon model, in subjects with applied contents linked to the real world, and which prepare the student for their later studies and their future professional life.
  • Training in context with stays, for all students, in institutions, companies, and research centers that involve bringing the student closer to environments for real learning linked to their batxillerat choice and their professional and study direction, all in full awareness that they are still in the process of making a decision on future studies.
  • The research project is based in established research training in the above-mentioned Anglo-Saxon model. Starting with the second semester, the student, tutored by teachers specialized in their work area, will begin the research project and we recommend that this is linked to their batxillerat mode.
  • We make possible the acquisition of various international certifications for foreign languages.

  • We strengthen the overall and comprehensive training of the students so that they remain committed to social issues and rooted in their environment.

  • We establilsh a specific plan for professional orientation linked to two main axes:
    • The personal plan: knowledge of each student´s aptitudes and interests in a personal framework.
    • Professional information: broad-based exposure to different areas linked to professional competences.
  • We incorporate an international exchange program, linked to different areas, with stays in companies.
  • We guarantee, in accordance with educational satisfaction, differential requirements that encourage all students to reach the maximum expectations in accordance with their aptitudes and interests.
  • We maintain the values education plan to guarantee comprehensive training and linking it with activities in the tutorial action plan in 1st batxillerat, as well as with the state of coexistence and with personal coaching that will begin at the beginning of 2nd batxillerat.
